How we list businesses

Scaffold Finder is a directory. We're not a scaffolding contractor, and we don't quote, supply or put up scaffolding. Here's how listings get on the site and how they're ordered. Aaron Green runs the site, and you can read more about him here.

Where listings come from

We start from public lists of businesses that describe themselves as scaffolding contractors or scaffold hire businesses. Before anything is published we visit each business's own website and only use facts it states: what they do, where they're based, the areas they cover, the jobs they take and how to contact them. Where we can, we also check the business is registered on the Australian Business Register.

Every description is written by us. We don't copy reviews, ratings, photos or descriptions from other websites, and we don't show star ratings.

We leave a business out when we can't confirm it's trading or when it doesn't actually do scaffolding.

How results are ordered

On each area page, results are ordered by distance from the business's base to the area, nearest first.

Featured businesses pay to appear first. There are at most 3 featured spots on a page, they take turns, and they are always labelled "Featured". When more businesses are featured for an area than there are spots, the others appear in the normal list in distance order.

Featuring changes where a business appears, not how we check it. Every listing is checked the same way.

Badges

"Licence and insurance confirmed" means we have seen a current High Risk Work Licence and a current public liability insurance certificate for the business. It only shows while both are in date.

Quote requests

A quote request goes only to the business you choose. We don't sell it or send it to anyone else.

Corrections and removal

Business owners can claim their listing for free and fix their details. To report a mistake or ask for a listing to be removed, email hello@scaffoldfinder.com.au.
