Council permits
Sunshine Coast Council: Permit for temporary work within a road or verge. Short-term building work on a road or verge, such as a footpath closure for a construction zone, needs this permit. Allow at least 28 working days and check with council whether your scaffolding is covered.
Suburbs outside the city centre may be in a different council area. Your scaffolder will often apply for you, so check who is arranging it before the job starts. Sunshine Coast Council's permit page(checked November 2026).
