Anyone putting up, changing or taking down scaffolding where a person or object could fall more than 4 metres needs a High Risk Work Licence in the right class: basic (SB), intermediate (SI) or advanced (SA). Ask your scaffolder which class their crew holds and for a copy of their insurance.
City of Perth: Hoarding, gantry and scaffold permit. A hoarding, gantry or scaffold on the road reserve needs this permit, plus a separate obstruction permit while it's put up and taken down. The City asks for at least 10 business days to process an application.
